Refer to the ‘Social Network Sharing’ section for occasions where you may give permission to post updates on your social network account or timeline.
11. Video dating (Book a video date feature)
Findmeyou Dating offers a video date feature. All premium members have the option of booking a video date with other premium members face to face via their desktop, laptop, mobile camera. Our video date feature is exclusive to Findmeyou.com and doesn’t operate outside of our website.
This feature provides the opportunity for members to interact face to face online from the comforts of their own homes before meeting in potential dates in person. The Video dating feature can provide members with confidence that who they’re talking/chatting to online is a real person and that they look how their profile photo depicts. The video dating feature can also help fight against online scammers and bots as it gives the opportunity for members to request short videos in real time.
We take no responsibility for our member’s behaviour whilst video chatting, both members should be over the age of consent, agree to out terms and take responsibility for their actions. It’s the responsibility of our members, to be honest, adhere to our video dating rules and follow our behavioural guidelines, see (Terms&conditions). All members have the option of aborting, reporting, and can complain about members that are abusing the service. Our support team investigates and takes all complaints we receive about obscenity, rude behaviour or abuse to other members seriously, in some cases the Police may be contacted and the member in question may be deleted from using our services permanently.
Findmeyou video date feature will hopefully help sift out dishonest daters who may be using bogus photos and fake profiles, see Scam Advice. Some people may bend the truth when it comes to how they look, how old they are, and who they really are, so If you experience disappointment or are not satisfied with our video date feature then our team will take on board your concerns and complaints.
How it works
Member (A) can send a video date request to premium member (B) (unless our website is in free trial mode, then this service will be free). If member (B) accepts, they will both choose a suitable time, date and duration of the video date.
- Members can choose from a duration time of 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 45 minutes.
- Both members have the option to extend the date, if things are going well, at any time.
- Both members have the option to abort and cancel if things are not going well, at any time.
- If the person you are dating is abusing the facility then you can report and block them within your Members Area.
- The video date will automatically end at the end of the chosen time period, taking away the pressure of ending the video date.
Having the chance to see and hear your date in the flesh whilst online brings together the two essential elements in order to move from the online dating world to the real world of dating, safely. Being able to see people face to face rather than seeing an outdated profile photo can build confidence when using online dating. This feature is not just a video to video chat, or similar to random video chat websites. Book a video date feature has been designed to help join the gap between traditional dating and online dating.
