Simply choose a username (a screen name or alias), set up a profile (always be as descriptive as you can) and add a current profile photo. You can view other members from your profile homepage, you can search for members, video date with members and use the meet me feature. Apart from the great standard features that we offer you can also see other members before the real dating starts by booking a video date online.

If you prefer not to video date then you can send other members a message. Messages are sent to their profile email address directly from you – your real name and email address are never shown. Messages are sent from your profile, not a real email address. Before giving out your real contact details we recommend that you read the guidelines on our dating safety page. There is never any reason to give out your details because everything can be done within the safe environment of Findmeyou

How do i join
You can sign up to Findmeyou by clicking any of the Join today buttons, simply fill in the Registration form, create a username and password, you’ll be automatically logged in to set up your profile. (fill in all the relevant questions about you, be as detailed as possible, and upload a current profile photo). A confirmation email containing your login details (username/password) will be sent to you, remember to check your ‘Junk’ and ‘Spam’ folder. Keep these details safe. If you have any problems registering or logging in please contact our admin team.
Does Findmeyou chemistry match people?
To some degree we do.
When creating your profile you will have to answer some basic questions about yourself, likes, and dislikes. The answers you provide will determine what kind of members you’ll be matched with and shown as suggested love interests. This doesn’t mean that your choices or options will be limited, it simply means that you’ll have certain members to choose from with similar interests first.


Our match-making process is very simple and provides you with quicker results. We believe that attraction which is based on an up to date honest profile image, an honestly written profile, and face-to-face interaction will give you the best opportunity of finding love online.

Is online dating safe?
Online dating can be dangerous, but only if you fail to follow the correct procedures that are in place. Any online activity can result in offline dangers and we can’t guarantee your safety if you talk to members using outside sources such as text message/personal emails/social media, and we can’t guarantee your safety when dating offline.


However, Findmeyou does make online dating as safe as possible by having the features in place that can ensure that all safety issues are tackled. Some of our features help confirm that you’re talking to real people, our verification system confirms that our member’s identities are real and our face-to-face video date feature can help prevent catfish profiling. Regardless of all these safety features, always be vigilant and use common sense when arranging to meet anyone you have been in contact with and tell someone where you’re going and who you’re meeting.

How do I become verified?
Once you’ve registered with Findmeyou it’s time to verify your profile!
Simply head over to your profile area and click the verify profile button, then follow the three verification steps. We will confirm your email address, your mobile phone number and will request a short video snapshot via your webcam or mobile phone camera to confirm who you are and to show that you resemble your current profile photo.


If you fail any of our three steps then you will have to complete an ID verification. You will be asked to provide a snapshot of your current Passport, ID photo card or Driving license. Learn more about profile verifications.

Profile Questions

Do I have to create a profile and upload a profile picture?
Yes, It’s very important that you fill out your profile area answering all the questions honestly. If you don’t complete your profile then you won’t be accepted by our admin team. You have to upload a profile photo that shows your current likeness so we can verify your account. When completing our verification process you will receive a pink tick showing others that you are a trusted member of Findmeyou.
How do I edit my profile?
You can edit your profile at any time by logging into your account. Go to your profile home page and choose ‘edit profile’. All edited profiles must be vetted by a member of our admin team, providing everything is O.K your profile will be updated within 24 hrs.
When will my profile be live and how long do changes take to show?
New profiles (or changes) should be updated within 24 hours. This may take longer over weekends and bank holidays, but will always be within 72 hours. Anything that has been approved by us will have an immediate effect on your profile and will show to other members.
Will my profile remain live on Findmeyou after my subscription ends?
No, If your subscription ends your account will return to a basic Member account. You will then be contacted by our cancellation team to see if you would like to reinstate it or delete your account permanently because we are an honest dating website we can’t hold (dead profiles or basic accounts) on our system as this could be misleading to other members.

We will always prompt you to upgrade once your profile has returned to a basic account, you will need to re-register and re-subscribe if you want to activate your subscriber benefits again.

Is content on Findmeyou censored?
Not everything can be censored all the time. We do however have a team checking for scammers, obscene content, and content that our members wouldn’t want to see on Findmeyou. We reserve the right to hide, delete or modify unacceptable profiles. We reserve the right to delete or modify profiles that:

  • Contain contact information such as email or Skype addresses, Telephone numbers, addresses, etc.
  • Are illegal, e.g. under 18 years of age or solicit contact from people under 18 years.
  • Are racist, or attack other groups or religions.

What do I do if my profile is rejected?
If you follow our advice and adhere to our terms&conditions when filling in your profile, you will be approved without any problems. However, if your profile is rejected you will receive an email explaining why you haven’t been accepted and an option to log back into your account to make changes and resubmit your edited profile for approval.
Can my profile or information be seen on other dating sites?
No. We are exclusive, all our member profiles and the information they upload will only be seen by other members using Findmeyou dating. Some profile photos will be showcased on the homepage of our website.

Membership, Payment & Refund Questions

Do I have to be a paying member to send messages and gifts to other members?
Yes, to send messages or gifts you will need to upgrade to a premium membership (unless Findmeyou is in free mode). You can search profiles, but if you want to contact other members you will need to upgrade.
Do I have to be a paying member to book a video date?
Yes, in order to book a face-to-face video date with another member you’ll have to upgrade to a premium subscription. (unless Findmeyou is in free mode). You don’t pay per date, once you’ve upgraded you can request as many video dates as you like.
How much does it cost, what are the subscription fees?
The standard monthly charge is £19.99 billed in one payment, then every month after until you cancel your subscription.
We offer subscription terms over 3 months priced at £39.99 saving £19.98 which is equivalent to £13.33 per month.
6 months priced at £59.99 saving £58.95 which is equivalent to £9.99 per month.
9 months priced at £79.99 saving £99.92 which is equivalent to £8.88 per month.
12 months priced at £99.99 saving £239.88 which is equivalent to £8.33 per month.
How can I tell if i'm a free member or a premium member?
If you log in and go to your profile homepage you’ll be able to check whether you’re a free member or premium member.
What are the payment methods?
We offer a secure Credit/debit Card payment facility and Paypal. Alternatively, you can pay by direct bank deposit (BACS) or send a cheque. Full details are on our subscription fees page.
Is Findmeyou safe when using my card or bank details
Yes, credit card and debit card payments are processed using our payment gateway system. You are in safe hands, they are one of the largest and most respected global card processing companies in the world. All your card details are encrypted for maximum security. Payment via Paypal is the other payment option, Paypal is trusted and is used every second of the day to transfer money around the world.

No credit or debit card details are stored in our database or website. When making a payment through BACS you will be transferring money directly from your bank account into our business account. If you have any concerns regarding safety when paying directly into our business account, please refer to our safety advice.

Will my subscription renew automatically?
Yes, if you subscribe using a credit or a debit card, then you will be re-billed at the end of your first subscription period every month / 3 months / 6 months / 9 months / 12 months. However, if you purchase a subscription as a gift for someone, pay using an alternative method, or cancel your agreement before your renewal date, then you won’t be re-billed using auto-renewal system.

Should you wish to cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription, simply go to our cancel subscription page and send our team a request to cancel. We don’t have an automatic cancellation process due to your details falling into the wrong hands. You can find out more about auto-renewal here.

How do I upgrade to premium member?
As a Free Member, you will automatically be prompted to upgrade to our premium service within one month of signing up. If Findmeyou is in premium mode you can upgrade your account from your profile area and other places on our website. You will be given instructions on how to pay using Paypal, debit card, credit card, cheque, or BACS. We recommend that you don’t subscribe until your profile has been fully approved by our admin team. You will not be able to use your subscription fully until you have an approved profile on our website.
How long will it take for my account to be premium after I have upgraded?
If you pay via Paypal or pay with your credit/debit card, your account will be upgraded immediately. If you pay by cheque or BACS payment, you will have to wait until we have received the payment and it has cleared in our bank before we can upgrade you to a premium account.
I have not used all of my subscription and want to cancel my account, will I be refunded?
No, unused portions of subscriptions are generally not refundable. Deleting your profile will result in your unused subscription being lost.
What is the difference between a free member and a premium paying member?
If our website is in free trial mode then you will have access to all of our features. If our subscriptions are live then your account will have limitations applied. You won’t be able to contact these members until you have registered for a premium account. You will be able to create a profile, adjust certain settings in your profile area to suit your dating needs, and upload photos. Please see our Free member options and premium member options below.

If I'm not happy with the service Findmeyou provides is there a refund option?
We offer our customers a satisfaction guarantee, if for any reason you’re not happy with our services then you’ll be offered a refund. You can request a refund up to 14 days after your last payment is made, providing you haven’t used the premium features in this time period. You will only be eligible for the most recent month paid for. One month payment will be debited back to your bank account within 7 days.

Account Questions

My account settings

You can view your current username which can’t be changed, you have the option of updating your password, your email and submitting them for review. To change your username you’ll have to delete your account and subscription and start again, so think about this when choosing a suitable username.

If you can remember your username but have forgotten your password click here. If you have forgotten your username click here and follow the instructions, we will send you a link to access your login details giving you the chance to create a new password. I have requested my login details, but haven't received them.
Your login details will be sent to the email you registered with when signing up to Findmeyou. Check you have the correct email and check your spam folder before contacting our admin team
I can't login to my account with the details you have provided?
Check that your username and password have been typed correctly (try copying and pasting them from your registration confirmation email to make sure). If you have ever changed your password, make sure that you are not accidentally using the old one. Remember, an extra space is recognised as a character. All usernames and passwords are case sensitive, so if you’ve used Capital letters or symbols, remember to use them in the same way. If you still can’t log in then contact our admin team.
Can I change my username, password and email address?

You can change your password by going to profile / settings / account.
You can change the email address you signed up with, but you can’t change your username. You can only use your username for your current account you’ve created. This will stay with you as long as you’re a member of Findmeyou (this is good to bare in mind when choosing a username). You can contact our team and request to delete your account permanently, then set up a new account with a different username.

I am not receiving emails from Findmeyou or members, why is this?

The most likely reason you have not received our email is that they are accidentally being treated as spam by your email provider. To make sure that our emails are not filtered into your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folder, please add Findmeyou to your list of trusted senders by following these instructions:

Hotmail – Access your Safe List by clicking on ‘Options’ in the right-hand corner, then ‘Junk E-Mail Protection’ and then ‘Safe List’. Add the domain name in the box provided.

AOL – Add the domain name to your address book.

Yahoo!Mail – Look for any of our messages in your ‘bulk’ folder, open the message and click on the ‘this is not spam’ link next to the ‘From’ field.

Other Providers – Try adding the domain name to your address book or contact list. If this option is not available, try moving the message to your Inbox or forwarding the message to yourself.

If other messages continue to be filtered and collected by your ‘Junk’ or ‘spam’ folder, contact your E-mail provider’s technical support and explain the problem.

How much control do I have over my member settings?

As a basic member, you will have limited control over your profile area.

  • You can create a profile and upload photos, audio files, and video files.
  • Access your settings.
  • Change your email address and password.
  • Set up your match alerts by frequency, gender, and age.
  • View the blocked member area, you can unblock members here.
  • Set your notification preference (select yes or no to accept private messages and friend requests from other members.
  • Set your privacy, choose who can view your profile.
  • Upgrade your account and choose membership.
  • As a premium member, you will have full access and control over your account.
How do I delete my account?

If you want to delete your account please submit a delete request to our admin team, we will deal with your request within 48 hours. If you use our services within the same period from requesting to delete your account and are still in a subscription plan, you may incur a charge (we don’t provide an automatic delete account option in case your account falls into the wrong hands).

Why has my account been deleted after one month?

When registering with Findmeyou all members are prompted to create a profile and upload a photo. This is essential and is why Findmeyou works. Our mission is to provide honest and safe dating and hope to give confidence to those using our services that people on our system are real and looking for love.

We will make standard safety checks after registration which can take up to a week to complete. People can register for free which gives them certain limited features, but all members will be prompted to upgrade to our premium service after the one month cooling off period to ensure that other members have a better dating experience and to make sure that they’re contacting real people and not outdated accounts, dead profiles or bogus profiles on our system (this only applies when Findmeyou is in premium mode).

We also prompt all our member to complete our 1-2-3 verification process. This involves an email check – mobile phone check – video snapshot check (all processes are for exclusive admin use only and will not be live anywhere on our website).

Photo & Media Questions

Does my photo automatically show up in my profile?

No, all uploaded photos must be checked and approved by our media team before they become visible on your profile. we need to check all photos for authenticity and to make sure they are suitable. Photos are usually checked within 24 hours of uploading them, but this may be longer on weekends and holidays due to staff shortage.

Are there any requirements for adding photos?

Yes, your photo must be in the JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIFF or PCX format. Your photo must be less than 4100kB, but there is no restriction on the dimensions of the image you upload. Our website automatically re-sizes your images if they’re too large. Please contact our admin team if you’re experiencing problems uploading photos.

Why did my photo disappear from my profile?

Your photo may have been deleted because 1) it didn’t comply with our technical requirements, 2) your photo is obscene, 3) your photo is a picture of a celebrity or 4) your photo contains other copyrighted material such as a cartoon image.

What photos can I upload to my profile?

You can upload 10 additional photos and these can be anything you like, within reason. If our media team see any photos that are in breach of our terms&conditions or contain sensitive material they will be rejected.

How many Photos can I upload

You can upload 10 photos and your profile photo. All photos will be vetted by our media team before they’re visible in your media section of your profile.

How many videos can I upload

You can upload 10 videos. All videos will be vetted by our media team before being visible in your media section of your profile.

How many audio files can I upload
You can upload 20 audio files into your media section of your profile.
How do I upload a photo?

To upload a profile photo, go to your profile area, choose edit profile, scroll to the bottom and choose – upload file. To upload additional photos that will show in your media album, go to your profile area, choose media then create an album (name it) and upload photos by clicking upload file. If you have trouble with these options you can email your photo to our media team: [email protected] or post a photo to our office address: 109 Vernon House, Friar Lane, Nottingham, NG1 6HQ UK. Please include your username and email address so our team can match your photo to your profile.

I'm having trouble uploading my photos.

First, make sure that you’ve saved your photo in a standard image format, then check that it’s the right size and not to large. We ask that the JPEG file does not exceed 1MB and that the image size is at least 250px wide and 270px high. You can find online software to edit your images before uploading them to our system (pic-monkey / pixlr are free image software services). If you’re still having problems, you can email the photo to us by attaching your photo, telling us your first name, last name, date of birth and username. Please email the photo to [email protected]

My photo doesn't fit, there are black lines on either side.

If you’re uploading an image to use as your profile photo we advise that you use images that are wider in width and smaller in height. Example of the best image size would be 300 wide / 150 high. Example of a bad image size would be 150 wide / 300 high.

Search Questions

How do I search for other members?

Go to your profile area and choose search, you will see different search options. You can choose Basic Search, Advanced Search, Post Code Search, Distance Search, and Close By. These search options are explained in detail in the profile help section and in the help section in your profile area.

What's the difference between Basic Search and Advanced Search?

Our Basic Search means that you can search members based on – gender, age, country, city and username. You can also add additional options like – online only, pictures only and the option to save the search. Our Advanced Search means that you can search using the above information, and by using additional options that let you search members using the same drop down questions you and other members input when creating your profiles.

How do I do a postcode search?
The postcode search is available to all our UK members and is based on the distance between the postcode you entered when editing your profile and the postcodes of our other members. This will enable you to search within a certain mileage and radius of where you live, but please bear in mind that this is an approximate calculation only. All members results will be displayed using Google Maps.
What do I do with my saved searches?

If you are regularly searching according to the same search patterns and criteria, you may save your searches and label them to help you search in the future. When you return to the Search page you can click on any of your saved searches and it will automatically bring up the results, making it a quicker process.

Video Date Questions

Can I go on multiple video dates with the same member?

Yes, you can book as many video dates as you want, whether it’s the same member or a different member, the choice is yours. There is no limit to how many video dates you book, you can video date multiple times, but if your video date request is rejected and you keep requesting video dates with the same member you may be reported to our complaints team.

If video dating is used correctly and not abused, it helps you and other members before meeting in person, face-to-face interaction gives you the opportunity to see how people really behave, how they laugh, how they smile, how they react and whether they’re right for you. Video dating also gives you confidence that who you’re in contact with is who they say they are. Try to communicate with the members you want to book a video date with through our chat/email services first, you will have better results and will receive more video date bookings.

What happens if I video date with someone who is rude or abusive?

Our video date feature has an abort button if you experience any problems during the video date you can abort at any time. Most of the time other members behaviour can be dealt with by aborting and blocking them in your profile area. If you have been offended by another member or think they may be a threat to others members and aborting the video date or blocking isn’t sufficient, then you should report the member to our complaints team

By reporting another member, this will result in an internal investigation and may lead to a police investigation. If the member in question is abusing our services, their account will be deleted. This is a very serious procedure, so always be sure that the member has done what you say they have and has caused you distress before you log your complaint. Our team has ways of checking and investigating further.

I am trying to video date, but it doesn't work.

If you’re having problems with our video date feature please check these solutions first

  • You have a working camera/webcam
  • Your browser is compatible with our services (If not, update your browser or choose another one)
  • You’re a premium member
  • You’re not already blocked
  • Your AdBlocker is deactivated

Feature Questions

Do I have to pay extra for features once I have upgraded to a premium account?

No, when you upgrade your account to premium membership all of our features will be available without further charge. (this applies to all current features on (This may not apply to future features that are added).

How will I know if I have been matched, where are my matches?

In your profile area you can set up your match alerts, you will be sent an email if you have a match. For example: If you have answered questions in your profile area that match with another members answers you will be considered a match and you’ll be sent a notification.

Close By' feature isn't working?

If you have submitted your post code when editing your profile and our Close By feature still isn’t working then you may need to update your current location. Go to your profile area, choose edit profile and choose to edit current location. You will be prompted to confirm edit, then you can find members that are located within a geographical location to your own.

What happens if I add someone to my favourites?

This is a great way of letting people know that you might be interested in talking to them. When you add someone to your favourites they will receive a notification, if you want to keep track of members that you might want to contact in the future, but simply don’t have time now, add them to your list. Their profile will then show in your ‘Favourites section’.

How do I remove a member from my favourites?

Go to your favourites section and click on the X in the top right-hand corner of their profile photo, they will then be deleted from your favourites list.

Messaging Questions

Composing a new message

If you haven’t previously emailed any members then no name options will show up to choose from when composing a new email message. You need to send a message directly from other members profiles first so their name will show up in the email section in future.

Someone has sent me an email and I cant reply, Help!

You must be a premium paying member to reply (unless we are in free mode). You can view emails sent from other members, but you need to upgrade to contact them back.

Will my messages automatically delete?

Your messages will be kept indefinitely, it’s up to you to delete the messages that you no longer want (for security reasons we may retain emails for a period of time regardless of whether you have a subscription or are a member of Findmeyou).

How can I stop receiving messages from certain members?

If for any reason you no longer want to receive messages from a certain member you can ‘block’ them by clicking on ‘Block user’ in your profile area. You can also choose to report the member which automatically sends an email to our admin team for further investigation. When you block a member, you will no longer receive messages from them. The person you have blocked will only be notified if they try to send you another message. If you want to ‘unblock’ a member, you can do this by going to your ‘Profile area’ click Settings / Blocked and then choose the ‘Unblock’ option.

How will I know if I have messages from other members?

You will receive two notifications messages from other members, you can see the notifications under your profile photo in your profile area by hovering over the envelope iconYou will also get a pop up notification when you log into your account telling you that you have a new email to view.

Blocking Questions

How do I block members?

Go to a members profile, you’ll see the ‘Block User’ option, click block user. This member won’t be able to contact or email you anymore. You can view blocked members and unblock members by going to your profile – settings – blocked.

Can I report members to Findmeyou?

Yes, there are two ways you can report a member

  1. Go to the member’s profile, you will see the ‘Report User’ option, click report user. Our complaints team will then receive an email and will be in touch with you to confirm more information.
  2. If you want to report a member in more detail you will find the complaints link at the bottom (footer section) of Fill in the details, add a complaint and add the username of the member in question, we will then look into this and reply within 48 hours. Please only use the complaints section if you have a valid reason, as this may result in the member being deleted and banned from Findmeyou.

Privacy Questions

Understanding privacy settings in your profile area.

You can choose what other members can see and access regarding your profile in your privacy settings section

  • private messages (yes/no to confirm whether other members can send you private messages).
  • Friend requests (yes/no to confirm whether other members can send you friend requests).
  • Who can view my pictures (here you can set who can view your pictures, choose everyone or friends)
  • This same process applies to: Who can view my friends / who can view my profile / who can view my audio and who can view my videos.
  • Contact permissions choose what genders can contact you, click man for men, woman for women or man and woman for both.
Does Findmeyou share my personal information with 3rd parties?

No, we don’t share your details or information with any third party websites and we don’t pass your email on to anyone else. All of your personal details are kept safe on our secure database. Only our admin team has access to your details. We only need to view your personal details when administrating your account or answering any queries you may have. Your bank details and financial details are not kept on or saved in our database. No one at Findmeyou will have access to this information. All of your payments to Findmeyou Dating Ltd are handled through a secure server.

Do you keep my personal details and profile on your system after I have deleted my account and subscription?

No, we do not keep any profiles live after they have been deleted. Findmeyou is all about honesty, it would be unfair to other members if they thought a profile existed, but when trying to contact them received no reply because the profile had been deleted yet kept on our system or the profile was fake. When you cancel your subscription, your profile and account will no longer show on our system. Other members won’t be able to view or access your profile, but there may be a few days overlap between processing your request to delete your subscription and your profile not showing up on our system.

What do you do with my information if I cancel my membership?

If you decide to cancel your membership your profile will be removed from our website and you will no longer receive any emails from us (only promotional emails if you’re subscribed). We are obliged to keep your personal information on our records for a period of five years to enable us to respond to any queries or complaints you might have. After five years, we will delete all of your personal information from our records, apart from any information – such as your billing information – that we are legally required to keep.

Is my privacy respected?

Yes, we will never give your details to other members or use your details for any other purpose without your permission. For full details please review our privacy policy.
